BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT DOUGLAS DC-4

The Douglas DC-4 is a four-engine (piston) propeller-driven airliner. The DC-4 and its military version C-54 Skymaster were produced between May 1942 and August 1947.

The worst accident to Douglas DC-4 based aircraft happened on June 3, 1967, when Air Ferry operated Douglas C-54 crashed into Mont Canigou in France, killing all 88 people on board.
